"Beverly Hills Cop" is coming back

In case you haven’t heard, "Beverly Hills Cop" is returning. Well, not on the big screen, but on the little one. Eddie Murphy is executive producing a "Beverly Hills Cop" TV pilot about the iconic buddy cop movie for CBS. It revolves around a new Beverly Hills cop, who just so happens to be the son of Murphy's character, Axel Foley.
The entertainment blog Zap 2 It says a couple familiar faces will pop up in the pilot, Murphy himself and Judge Reinhold who played Billy Rosewood in the original film.
Television shows that are based on movies are historically hit and miss, but maybe star power will help this endeavor succeed.
