Ben Gibbard's tribute to Ichiro

The news that Ichiro Suzuki has been traded to the New York Yankees has left a lot of Mariners faithful in shock, one of them being Ben Gibbard, the front man of Death Cab for Cutie and a big baseball and M's fan.
Ben tweeted the song with this message: “I wrote this song a few years ago. Today seems like the best day to share it with you. Thank you so much, Ichiro.”
