Bruce Springsteen single sells for $3800

According to UltimateClasssicRock.com thirty-one bids raised the price for a rare original 1975 Greek copy of Bruce Springsteen's 'Born to Run' single past $3,800 on eBay recently.

That's some hefty profit for an item that probably cost less than a buck when it first came out.

What is the most you would pay for a piece of rock memorabilia?

Also recently. someone paid $1000 for a Van Halen concert T-shirt, which makes me wish I had saved all mine instead of throwing most of them out eventually.

Happy Birthday John Corbett!

I'm partial to his role in "Northern Exposure" as a DJ, and he's probably best known for his roles in "Sex in the City" and "My Big Fat Greek Wedding"

But a quick look at his IMDB page shows he's kept busy in shows like "Parenthood" and " United States of Tara", to name just a few.

Plus he keeps busy voicing commercials for Applebee's and Walgreens.

And he's been in a long-term relationship with actress Bo Derek since 2002.

On This Date: Bruce is pronounced the Future of Rock and Roll

It was this day in 1974 that Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band opened up for Bonnie Raitt.

When Rolling Stone critic John Landau saw Springsteen he wrote 'I have seen rock & roll's future and his name is Bruce Springsteen'.

He was pretty spot on. And it was coincidentally on this same day in 1992 that Bruce made his North American network television debut on Saturday Night Live with host Tom Hanks.

Charles Ramsey of Cleveland-New Hero of the Moment

The story started coming out on Twitter last night in bits and pieces at first, and it was chilling and stunning. Three women who had been missing for ten years in Cleveland were saved after the brave escape attempt by one of them and the help of a neighbor who happened to hear her screams.

The why's and how's and all the questions about the terrible ordeal these women have endured will no doubt come to light soon. But at the moment, the man who helped in the rescue, Charles Ramsey has become an overnight media and internet sensation with the word hero place next to his name, and rightly so.

Perhaps because this is such terrible event we need a hero, a little comic relief, to distract us from the reality of the situation. It's a coping mechanism; it's why some people suddenly laugh at a funeral.

And perhaps Charles Ramsey has shown us that anyone could be a hero at any time.

Catch up on the story here.

Here is the already famous Charles Ramsey TV interview:
