Feel a little cold coming on? If you work in Seattle, take a day off, get paid

Hey, how is your employer with sick time? Do you get the inquisition when you call in sick?  Well if you work in Seattle, starting Saturday, you’re automatically eligible for paid sick time and safe time to care for a family member – whether you’re fulltime, part time, a temporary worker, whatever. You can also carry your sick time over to the next year. It’s not a ton of time, and the more employees your company has, the more time you get, but it’s better than nothing, and it’s the law.  Now that I mention it, [COUGH]  I think I feel a little something coming on.[COUGH COUGH]

Here's the full ordinance from the City of Seattle, which will put you to sleep after the first 10 paragraphs or so.
