How to avoid bumping into things when you walk
You wouldn't think it'd be that hard, but when we're walking through the office or down the street, a lot of us tend to be engrossed in our phones instead of watching where we're going. This is a growing problem. Technology solves problems. And here comes the solution to this problem: Transparent Screen.
You fire up the app, hold your phone in front of you like you always do, but the background of your screen becomes a live shot of whatever your camera sees. So you're reading texts or playing Words WIth Friends, and that's superimposed over a live image of what's in front of you. You avoid walking into fire hydrants, other pedestrians, or Metro buses. This app could save your life!
It's free, but it's only available for Android phones right now. And it's getting mixed reviews, so maybe they need to work a few bugs out. But, did I mention it's free?
Here's a CNET review of the app.
And here's the link to app in the Android Market.
