Jimi Hendrix Poster a Part of Record Day 2013

Have you ever heard of Record Store Day?
It’s the one day that independently owned record stores come together to celebrate music. They offer special deals on cd’s and records and have promotional products that are made just for the day.
The big item for this year is the official poster for the 2013 event, featuring Seattle's own Jimi Hendrix. According to Ultimate Classic Rock, Jimi’s sister Janie Hendrix said, “It’s entirely appropriate that an image of Jimi Hendrix is on the official Record Store Day poster.” She goes on to say, “He was an avid music fan and record collector himself."
The special Jimi Hendrix poster is a limited edition run with only 5,000 being made for the event.
Also, a limited edition, individually numbered 7” vinyl single will be up for grabs featuring the original mono mix of ‘Hey Joe’ backed with ‘Stone Free,’ both previously unavailable since their release in 1966.
