Mick Jagger's Unwelcome Sandy Comments

While we're deconstructing every moment of the 12/12/12 Concert last night, did you catch this? Mick Jagger is under fire now for a comment he made during the Rolling Stone's set last night.

“This has got to be the largest collection of old English musicians ever assembled in Madison Square Garden,” Jagger said. “But I’ve got to say, if it rains in London, you’ve got to come and help us, OK?”

First of all, like Seattle, doesn't it always rain in London? And they didn't call it "Superstorm Sandy" for nothin'. I think I understand where he was trying to go with that comment... but, c'mon, at the fundraiser? The phrase "too soon" is applicable.

Were you offended by this comment? Did you notice it during the set? Does he get a "pass" because he's 136 years old?

It's funny
I think we need to start looking at what was intended and not what our own over-sensitive feelings make of it.
