Mom Uses Craigslist To Get Daughter A Date

How far would you go to make sure your daughter had a date to the prom? One Seattle mom went all the way to Craigslist to find "hot male teens" to escort her daughter and friends to the prom.
The Craigslist ad has since been removed, but not without getting a little attention (way to go, Seattle! Between this and the best used car ad of all time, our Craigslist is rocking.) According to the PI, the ad specified guys between 17-19 years old, over 6' tall and handsome. They'd be paid $350 for the night, and the parents would pay for the tux, limo, dinner, etc. Not a bad deal for a guy looking to make a few bucks... as long as he's comfortable with basically being a PAID ESCORT. I'm pretty sure those kinds of ads are marked as "sensitive" on Craigslist.
If I was that daughter, I would be mortified. What teenager wants their parents involved in their love life? Also, would you want to be the group at prom who everyone knows is with hired dates? Awful. I went dateless to my senior prom, and so far I've turned out OK. But I'm not yet a parent, so maybe I'm missing something here?
