Mick Taylor, of course of Rolling Stones and John Mayall's Bluesbreakers fame, turns 65 today. Though his time in the Stones was short-lived, his contributions helped to define the band on album like Let It Bleed, Sticky Fingers and Exile on Main St. But did you know that the first song Mick Taylor ever played on with the Stones was this one?
That was actually the first time Taylor played live with the band, only weeks after coming aboard. Mick Jagger and Keith Richards both credit him with bringing the song to life, saying it was more traditional 1930's country before his rearrangement.
Recently, Taylor joined the band on stage during the 50th anniversary reunion shows. If the Rolling Stones decide to do any more touring (wishful thinking!), you'll be the first to know - especially if you Join The Club!
