No exaggeration -- one of the coolest apps ever, now on Android

When I first saw this app in action last year, I almost couldn't believe my eyes. I immediately had to get it for my iPhone.  Now you can get it on a Droid, too.  Word Lens is a translation app. You just point your phone's camera at whatever you want translated -- a street sign, a menu, an ad, whatever.  It shows you a translation on the screen of your phone, in real time, in the same font! (Usually.) The app itself is free, but it's really $4.99 for a French, Spanish, or Italian translation pack.  Oh yeah, and once it's installed, you don't need a web connection, so you can be on a remote beach in Mexico, and when you see a sign that says something like PELIGRO: TIBURON INFESTADAS MAR you'll know that it's a bad idea to swim in the shark-infested sea.

Here's the original story on the app.  And here's the story on the Android update.
