When they recruited Paul McCartney to wrap up the opening ceremony of the London Olympics on Friday, they told him they wanted him to sing to a pre-recorded backing track to minimize the chance of any imperfections in his performance. Kudos to Paul for not playing it safe. Who cares if it's not perfect? When it comes to music performances, live is always better, right? I think so.
