It was a big week for Pink Floyd this week.  They made it to Round 4 in our first ever March Mountain BANDness.  But they also hit a few benchmarks this week.

It was this week in 1980 that the #1 Billboard hit was Pink Floyd's” Another Brick In The Wall (part II)”

Also, Pink Floyd‘s legendary 1973 album, ‘The Dark Side of the Moon’ is one of 25 recordings to be inducted into the National Recording Registry of the Library of Congress. The record received the highest number of public nominations.

And Rolling Stone Magazine just announced that: “Pink Floyd are inviting fans to gather on their website starting after midnight in England on Sunday – or Saturday at 8 p.m. EST – where they'll be able to stream the band's masterpiece Dark Side of the Moon in full to celebrate the LP's 40th anniversary.

As they listen to the record, the band is asking fans to tweet their memories, photos and comments about the beloved 1973 album with the hashtag #DarkSide40. Over the course of the night, an image of the moon will darken as the notes come in."

Sounds pretty cool dude, read more about it here.
