For everybody, there are certain songs that take us back to certain times in our lives, or even certain moments. And when I say that, I'm usually talking about rock & roll songs. But there's a whole 'nother batch of music that's even more deeply ingrained in our memories. And the guy responsible for a lot of those songs died on Monday in London.
Robert Sherman, along with his brother Richard, gave us this classic:

And this one, from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang -- Pink Floyd guitarist David Gilmour played it a lot on his tours in the early 2000's, and he put it up this week in honor of Robert Sherman:
I'm not sure if David Gilmour's eerie voice at bedtime would comfort my kid or frighten him, but I think it's pretty cool that Gilmour covered the song.
