Never the kind of headline I enjoy reading or writing, but happily things are looking positive for Timothy B. Schmit. The Eagle was diagnosed with throat and neck cancer in October, but had successful surgery in November and is on the mend.
His assistant had this to say, "The good news is that the surgery was successful and Timothy has received a clean bill of health. The final pathology report stated that he appears to be cancer free, both in his throat and neck. He does not need to have chemo or radiation. Now he just has to keep an eye on things every month for about a year to be sure it stays away, and then not so often. Timothy is healing nicely, though his throat is still a bit sore, but he's already out and about. He says that this has been a life changer in many ways, and that it has only bolstered his resolve to, in the words of [the late] Warren Zevon, 'enjoy every sandwich.'"
