You have to see Bob Dylan at least once in your life

And you get that chance on October 13 when Dylan comes to Key Arena.
Plus -- bonus! -- he's touring with Mark Knopfler of DIre Straits, and you may well see them do some stuff together, like this:
I seriously think every rock fan should see Dylan at least once, although if you haven't seen him yet, you may be a little startled by what you see at this point, because he's . . . . well, he's a little crusty these days. i saw him a couple of years ago at Seattle's WaMu Theater, and at first I thought maybe we were all part of some elaborate prank. His voice is so froggy and un-musical that you really have to remind yourself for a minute that you are indeed watching one of music's greatest geniuses. The thing is, he still conveys charisma and confidence like few other artists, and he surrounds himself with brilliant players. Let's admit it -- Dylan's voice has never been technically great, so that really shouldn't stop you from seeing him now. Just be prepared for something quite unusual, and very special.
Tickets for Dylan and Knopfler go on sale Friday July 27 at 10am at Ticketmaster.
Dylan's new album, Tempest, arrives on September 11.
Knopfler's album Privateering is coming out the week before, on September 4. He's streaming the first track off the record, "Redbud Tree." Want to hear it? Go here or click the album cover below.
